The People Behind WildXTR

WildXTR was founded by Edwina Thring and Kevin Richardson, brought together by a shared belief in the power of wildlife storytelling.

Edwina Thring is the founder of Wild Thring Media and co-founder of WildXTR, with a career spanning global wildlife storytelling, content strategy, and digital audience growth.

Having held senior roles at National Geographic, Edwina spent years working at the forefront of wildlife and documentary programming, collaborating with filmmakers, photographers and production companies to bring powerful natural history stories to international audiences.

Building on this foundation, she went on to create Wild Thring Media, where she works closely with leading wildlife creators and brands to grow digital audiences, develop content strategies, and unlock new revenue streams across video, social media and partnerships.

Edwina has played a key role in shaping the digital evolution of wildlife storytelling, building engaged global communities and developing monetisation strategies across platforms including YouTube, Facebook and emerging channels.

With WildXTR, she brings together everything she has learned, combining storytelling, community, brand partnerships, merchandise and conservation driven initiatives to create a platform where creators and audiences connect more directly than ever before.

Her focus is on building a new kind of wildlife platform, one that not only inspires through storytelling, but also supports creators, connects communities, and drives meaningful impact for the natural world.

Kevin Richardson is a South African wildlife behaviourist, filmmaker, and digital storyteller with more than two decades of experience producing compelling content from the natural world.

His career has been built around documenting wildlife behaviour and sharing authentic, immersive stories that connect audiences with nature and conservation. Through years of field work, documentary production, and digital media development, Kevin has gained extensive experience in creating engaging visual content and building highly engaged global audiences across multiple online platforms.

Kevin’s work spans wildlife behaviour, content production, and digital community development. He has collaborated with international filmmakers, media companies, and brands, producing content that blends education, storytelling, and real-world adventure.

As a founder of WildXTR, Kevin brings his experience in audience building, storytelling, and field-based content creation to a collaborative platform designed to unite creators and communities. Wild XTR aims to give audiences access to authentic content, exclusive experiences, and meaningful partnerships between creators and aligned brands.

Through WildXTR, Kevin is focused on building a new kind of community-driven platform where storytelling, adventure, and shared passions bring creators and audiences together.

Together, Edwina and Kevin created WildXTR as a place where wildlife creators and audiences can connect through a shared passion for the natural world.
